This empire is being ran like the IT morons at my workplace, where every time they fail, it is a spectacular trainwreck that grinds the company to a halt.

I would be absentee, pursuing my hobbies, having to be briefed on the strategic elements and all of the security constantly. Only to support China and use the military for humanitarian efforts. Advocate for renewables at every step. Then I would abdicate ASAP if I were so lucky as to be given the option to not be assassinated, but I'd negotiate up to the full president's salary
