The fact that this is a real image is infuriating

They're you go: Pierre Poilievre, proudly supported by Nazis the world over. FFS Canada, how can you endorse this guy?

A lot of us don’t. For those that do - same misguided reasons they support President Elon and his sidekick Trump down south.

I'm not one to defend Pollievre, I think he is Canada's worst leadership option, but the fact that Musk who wants to weaken is supports him is not a sign to me that Pollievre supports those ideas.

Pollievre has called out Musk recently too.

Now, Pollivres actions supporting the convoy, meeting with their organizers, egging them on while they called to usurp our government and harassed citizens and stole from the soup kitchen, refusing to comment on whether he would put everything in the table against Trump, the shady dealings during the Conservative leadership race, and his actions under Harper and as finance critic lead me to believe he's just a power hungry slime ball who will do whatever helps him over Canadians, without any semblance of ethics.

This is a "Not all conservatives are Nazis, but all Nazis are conservative" distinction.

Poillevre might not actually goosestep and wear a snappy-looking black Hugo Boss uniform and make undesirable people into soap while stealing their gold teeth, but people who do those things vote for Poillevre and give him money.

Conversely, people who vote for Singh...don't.

I'm not voting for the conservatives until I hear full-throated rejection of bigoted policies, and right now, all I hear is bitching about "woke this" and "DEI that".

I'm not voting for the Tories until their platform fits my beliefs, and until I'm a <0.05%er that's not fucking happening...... actually? Scratch that, I'd never end up being that rich because that doesn't fit my beliefs....and also I wasn't born into money, have no "luck" with the lottery and didn't marry into money or monarchy.

I'd vote for, eg, John Robarts. Maybe Bill Davis.

Fair enough. The Tories do not, have not, and I very much doubt ever will champion nearly anything I would be willing to see in my homeland...but that's me. Different strokes and all that.
