Nah, you just like social networks where the software itself is a hobby; and that's okay! Nothing wrong with that. You just gotta remember that for most people, a social network is there for people to socialize. If you're having to do non-social tasks for your social network to function, then you're not gonna get wide adoption.
An extremely simple to use website front end is not "software itself a hobby"
