The original Ecco The Dolphin was released in 1992 for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive, Master System, Game Gear, and Sega CD. It was followed with other titles such as 'Ecco: The Tides of Time' (1994) and 'Ecco Jr.' (1995), before transitioning to the Dreamcast in 2000 with 'Ecco the Dolphin: Defender of the Future'.

They could blend some of the old game mechanics with aspects from Subnautica or Abzu. I hope Sega can keep up their good streak.
