And yet, so many women still opt for having ~~numerous~~ large families.
P.s.
My native language double crossed me on that sentence.
True, but 17 is rare and wild.
Today.
A great-grandmother of mine had 19.
Wut?
Regardless pregnancy and birth being an highly stressful and toll taking endeavour for a woman's body, many still opt to have large families, out of their own volition.
I really don't see how much clearer I can get in my wording.
You could say that about a lot of things. Boxing enacts an extreme toll on a boxers body, in training, in match prep and in the fight itself, yet many of them continue to come back to the ring.
Sometimes the thing that is a struggle and exacts a toll has a reward that makes it worth it. It doesnt mean the struggle to get the thing wasn't difficult or debilitating.
You're right and I whole heartdly agree with you.
I was trying to express that exact same idea on my first comment, with obviously disastrous outcome.
Yeah, I got confused by the numerous / large there.
Some peeps get away with having two families, but it usually is the guy because it's easier to father children on "business trips" than to do a whole pregnancy.
Travel salesman family arrangement.
It's the classic joke in my country.
