Over the years I have often seen or got Mushishi recommended but never started to watch it.

I also have hundreds of series that just "fizzled out" over the season where I had the best intentions to finish them another time. But just thinking about the backlog now gives me anxiety.

I can attest that Mushishi is quite good. Basically a chill supernatural mystery of the week situation. Not high in action

Mushishi is awesome and is one thing that I think you can recommend to any age group-- 5 years old or 105 years old.

I watched most of the first season of Mushishi, and ended up falling out of love with it. I'm not sure if it did ever end up going anywhere, but more than half way through there was still no cohesion or connection between episodes.

Like I said, I haven't seen it but my understanding is that it's a thing of the week without any connection. At least that's the mindset I have when going in one of these days.
