Sounds good as a headline, but judging from DeSantis’s history of being an absolutely insane shithead, this is most likely either just tokenism, or hypocrisy.
It was something he did a few years ago, then the following year stated they are getting rid of the programs she just won an award for.
That sounds more on brand. Thanks for the explanation!
