Would it? I want to unfold/unroll device and get more content, not the same content stretched

If you put it in the crease of a foldable, it's stretched when stowed, and normal in use.

It would still unfold or unroll, you'd just have a better experience with it. Because it's flexible, creases would be managed better, thus making existing and future form factors better.
