A lack of shortages?
It’s too complicated to say “a surplus”.
It makes sense given the context. The article is trying to distinguish between a surplus and a lack of shortage for 2 reasons.
There were shortages worldwide for the ps5, and much of the issue was attributed to scalpers. So it is significant that there are no shortsges this time.
Saying a surplus of ps5 pros means everyone can buy one, isn't really news without there being a reason that might not have been the case.
The word Surplus already denotes a lack of shortage.
Tell me you missed the point of my comment without telling me you missed the point of my comment.
Surplus just means more than is needed. Lack of shortage does not mean more than is needed. It can mean a number of things, and in this case, it means that scalpers didn't manufacture a shortage, which is news because last time they did.
But to me it implies they are making consoles that would never be sold.
They are really short on shortages this year.
An abundanceage?
Sounds like a clever way to avoid saying they're underselling.
