"was outed as"

i'm not defending Mr. Beast here but from what i've read the friend of his, Ava?, was only accused of that, without any actual evidence, and even the person she allegedly groomed came out in her defence. Seeing as she's a trans woman and the right wingers are trying very hard to paint every trans person as a pedo i'm skeptical if those accusations hold much water

it feels like every other celebrity is getting accused of grooming, which is either a plague, or the definition of "grooming" has drifted to include "an adult that has conversations with teenagers"

No. Ava is a genuine predator and piece of shit. The stuff she's openly admitted to is damming, while her creepy behavior is well documented by multiple people, including queer people.

TW:She was openly a part of the whole "loli hentai is fine" community, not simply participating in those circles, but publicly posting about that shit.

It is not ok to message minors without parental supervision in the entertainment industry. Celebrities cannot DM minors like that. It allows them to leverage their power for exploitation, sexual or otherwise. It's why Drake's contact with young girls like Millie Bobby Brown was so fucked. The victims overestimate their own maturity. I've seen it happen. It's nothing new.

Ava does not deserve a pass. If anything, we need to stand against people like her and make it clear that her identity plays no part in how we view her. Pedophiles exist in any social group; what matters is how that group's culture allows it to continue, or shuts it down.

Ava and Mr. Beast come from a toxic subculture that does not take issues of abuse seriously. There's a reason he always carried water for capitalism with his exploitative philanthropy entertainment. He's a right-wing libertarian, and those people tend to not keep the best company. Ava being awful isn't surprising.

I honestly am uncomfortable with the level of black and white thinking you're displaying. What you've said here is far from damning, and the fact you're accusing her of pedophilia (which to me means sexual contact with a minor) off the back of it is kind of really gross...

Least of all because I've seen stuff that people accuse of being "loli hentai" that is literally just a couple of fully clothed high school age girls kissing. When teenaged cishet couples in media can get away with way, way more than that. I have seen a trans fedi instance get shut down over that sort of "loli hentai" by their registrar. When that's just age-appropriate queer representation in media :/

Edit: I will say that I have not looked into this myself, I am only replying to this comment specifically.

She got off on AND made jokes about people specifically being underage while she was into them as an adult. She didn't just support, but actively bought artwork from a guy that drew CP of real people. This is not just a regretful comment or guilt by association; this is a well documented pattern of behavior.

This is a video from a queer streamer who met Ava explaining why she isn't worth defending. This is also 3 months old, with new info only further condemning her and the entire Mr. Beast enterprise. They knew the type of person Ava was, but they supported her because she was in good company.
