Hamas’ brutal attacks in Israel on October 7 killed at least 1,400 people and the group took more than 200 hostages, according to Israeli authorities. In the wake of the assault, Israel launched an aerial bombardment of Gaza that Palestinian health officials say has killed more than 5,000 people. Israel also announced a “complete siege” on the enclave, withholding vital supplies of water, food and fuel.

So edgy and clever. What parts of what used to be called Mandatory Palestine, and is currently considered Israel and the territories of Palestine, do you consider colonialism?

[–] snek@lemmy.world -3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

All of Israel. I don't think it's so hard, is it?

Ah there it is. So ethnic cleansing it is then? That's what you're supporting. And where do you suppose the almost 10 million people will go?

You absolute antisemitic little fool. How will that make peace? What will happen with the people? What is the history of the region and those people? None of that matters, huh? Just all of Israel should fuck off. It isn't that you want peace. It is that you've decided one group is an outsider and they have no rights to be where they are. And how do you imagine that will play out?

Nope, like I said, Jewish people can stay and live under Palestine, which I believe was one of the three names they were going to give Palestine anyway, instead they went with Israel.

They can have full rights under a democracy where both Palestinians and Jews vote.

What Israel is doing now is the ethnic cleansing. This is not, this is liberation.

You absolute antisemitic little fool.

LOL bugger off.

So Hamas murdered civilians, children, elderly, at gun point then burnt their houses down and took hostages but the answer is for everyone to go live with Hamas so they can all be murdered by terrorists that very vocally say their goal is to erase Israel and kill all the Jews?

Why don't you go live in Palestine and help directly then? Plenty of people have gone to help such as Rachel Corrie.

Shit by your logic we could give Gaza to turkey because the Ottoman Empire had it for over 400 years. Such brave Internet logic. Everything is so black and white. Tell me more about how terrorists threatening to kill hostages are improving everything for everyone.

I said a democratically elected Palestinian government where Jews and Palestinians are equal and full citizens. I said nothing about Hamas.

Why don’t you go live in Palestine and help directly then?

I literally cannot. Israel won't let me in because I'm a Palestinian refugee. Israel kicked my mother's family out in 1948, they had been terrorized by Deir Yassin and left to Jordan (yes, we were ethnically cleansed). Same year my father's family leave Yaafa for the same reason and he grows up in a refugee camp in Jordan. Fast forward to the 90's and I'm born. I also support BDS so Israel won't ever grant me a visa even if I just go for a conference lol not to mention I don't really appreciate being humiliated and strip-searched and potentially put in jail. I can't enter Gaza either.

I keep saying "Palestinians", you keep saying "Hamas". This is black-whiting it.
