Most of our historical narratives were invented by a few Western elites (nobility, priests, scholars) about 400-450 years ago.

Which reminds me that there seems to be very little content or interest in schools explaining how "western civilization" ended up using arabic numerals, deciding to learn real medicine and who was responsible for keeping copies of the greek philosophers' works during the early days of christianity.
