There aren't just two sides to the conflict. There are at least four. Israel does not represent its people and Hamas does not represent Palestinians.

A statement in support of Palestinians shouldn't be offensive unless you hate Muslims for being Muslim or do not understand the conflict.

But if I dislike them for killing lgbt members?

So you wouldn't find anything offensive with "Solidarity with Israel", "Solidarity with Russia", or "Solidarity with Afghanistan" since their governments do not represent their people?

Those are not equivalent examples. Israel is the name of both the country and the culpable. All of Palestine is not responsible for terrorists while Israel and Russia are the direct responsible parties.

If someone wants to properly specify they support Israelis or the Russian people, they better specify it to distinguish from the actual culpable governments in those cases.
