Better question: Will the world rejoice in having a social media network without Americans?
Itβs already banned in Afghanistan, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Taiwan, Denmark, European Union, France, India, Indonesia, Netherlands, Nepal, New Zealand, Norway, Pakistan, Somalia, and United Kingdom.

A lot of these are partial bans. Canada for example only bans it for government issued phones which makes sense, there shouldn't be any apps let alone social media apps on those devices.
Same with Australia. Seems a bit disingenuous to say it's banned, it's a government worker policy.
Sure. Exactly the same in France.
And itβs also only banned on work devices. Thereβs no ban on government employees having TikTok on their personal phones, although I personally donβt.
Yeah same for Australia.
Same for Belgium
That's very inaccurate information.
It's basically only the government officials who can't have the app installed on their phones, for security reasons.
That's it.
Am from the Netherlands. Can confirm TikTok hasn't been blocked yet. I think the ban only applies to some government officials, and I don't think it's enforced well for most of those.
A post so inaccurate it belongs on tic toc.
