I agree with pretty much everything after "on that same note", except I'm not familiar with LG. What did they do?
Problematic linear compressors maybe?
Probably the privacy invasive TVs
Privacy invasive everything, forced arbitration, TOS bait and switch.,etc.
Oh, was it them that made the IoT washing machines with a nasty habit of unannounced port scans?
As far as I know, Samsung and LG both do that. But I'm guessing every manufacturer that adds wifi connectivity does the same.
