I just think it’s a neat little addition that gives you that, “ahhhhhhhhh, I remember that!” feeling.

That's cool, it's a shame that on Linux taking photos in photo mode doesn't work, nothing gets saved to the gallery.

It got fixed in the latest build of proton experimental
