Something that happened or was uncovered recently anywhere in the world. It doesn't have to have global implications. Just has to be informative in some way.

If Hamas just rejected a cease fire treaty, and Israel isn't the person they are negotiating with, please provide the name of whose cease fire they did just reject.

I'm sure I read a statement from the Israeli side but can't find the quote. Basically Israel said they are open to a peace deal that involves the release of all the hostages and dismantling of Hamas. Obviously that was a none starter for Hamas.

Israel has only put forth temporary ceasefires for the release of all hostages, meaning the release of hostages only if Israel can continue hostilities afterwards.

Hamas has put forth permanent ceasefires for the release of all hostages, meaning a cessation of hostilities.
