I respect their choice to try something new but I personally really hate the random aspect that card decks bring to the gameplay. I enjoyed the methodical tactical planning of X-COM and so I was really disappointed that someone smooshed a card game with that.

Tbh I felt less at the mercy of RNG in Midnight Suns than I did in XCOM.
