More like when than if. They’re already blocking pixelfed. So when is um now
and threads users can't see the mastodon users comments for now. i think they will prolong this as long as they can while introducing other stuff so that they can force other people to download threads for making comments that they can see.
Or we just ignore Threads until they fix this fatal flaw.
They're blocking Pixelfed? In what way?
Blocking Pixelfed from federating with Threads?
Preventing people from mentioning Pixelfed?
The latter
Where are you seeing that? I've mentioned my Pixelfed server a few times on Threads and I've never been censored.

It was a bug they fixed.
So a few comments were hidden, no one seems to be able to reproduce it, and it appears to just be a glitch.
Why would Meta do this???
Pixelfed is a good competitor for Instagram, their #1 cashcow. It has everything an Instagram competitor should have, especially the 2012 Instagram vibe where people just shared their daily life happenings through pictures instead of sharing bs for engagements. The only thing it lacks is messaging feature and the dev is working on a messaging platform for that.
I was clearly being sarcastic.
There's no real evidence that Meta was intentionally hiding anything, nor is Pixelfed even close to resembling a threat to Instagram.
