Can Link summon fairies endlessly? Theoretically, Cloud could max out final attack and phoenix summons and then as long as he has MP he can respawn when killed and also max out items that restore MP. Link would essentially need to have limitless fairies.

Final attack + phoenix, mp absorb + master summon. KotR + MP Turbo Don't need MP items anymore since any summon gives all your MP back, including the phoenix final attack that rezzes you.

Cloud wins under normal circunstances against any Link except maybe one wearing the Fierce Deity mask from MM and even then its close.
