[Solved] electron25 is taking over 10 hours to update on Arch Linux; is there anything I can do to speed this up? (leminal.space)

I ran yay -Syu and everything went well but electron25 has taken over 10 hours to update. Is there anything I could have done to speed things up?

Solution: I checked AUR and other people were commenting about similar issues. I swapped out the package for the -bin version.

Thanks for commenting. It was because I was building it. I did end up switching to -bin. It was easier than I thought. All I had to do was try to install electron25-bin and it gave me the option to remove electron25.

As a side note, do you actually need electron25? The Arch “extra” repository has a number of different (and newer) electron versions packaged that may or may not meet your needs.

I think it's just needed by balena-etcher.
