And he's writing it on like an Apple 2, so like a good 30 minutes is spent waiting for his machine to boot up. By the time it does, he probably forgets that he was gonna do it.

There was nothing to boot! My mom has MSDOS on a whatever that was built sometime probably around 1989 or 1990. Had a big red switch, flick on, a couple of strange noises, a hello line of text, and then flashy cursor let you knew you were ready to play Jeopardy or Worms.
Lol, I was like 5 when they were prevalent. I don't remember at all.
