you can! (at least on googles android tv, not sure about amazon's bastardized version) I use an app called button remaster, available from the play store, to switch my chromecasts youtube button to smart tube and netflix button to stremio

usually I get a lot of my info from youtube channels I like to watch; just seeing what they're up to and if it'll be relevant to me or just entertainment. some channels I enjoy are hardware haven, raid owl, techno tim, and christian lempa. I'm not super knowledgeable and also pretty new to self hosting but these guys have helped me a lot so I figure I pass em on and hope you gain from their knowledge as well!
good point, but I worry about a loop of the media giving attention, making people more aware that this party exists, ignorant people give them more support, repeat. seems like a similar strategy happened in the us with our media giving trump endless headlines.
I know right.... the wings dont even flap!
theres a local tea shop in seattle that I enjoy going to. they have a website for online orders too!
p.s. - if youre ever in the area, visit the location on king street. the sweetest old lady works there and shes super passionate about tea.
seconded for bazzite. I just came from cachyos (arch based) because it was missing a wayland component to make vr work. I had bazzite on my steam deck already so I figured I'd give it a shot on my pc. everything I wanna do works with minimal to no tinkering required, and I'm glad to know if I break something I can easily roll back in grub.
that is kinda what I'm trying to do. truenas is nice and all but its also pretty advanced and not beginner friendly when it comes to a lot of things. I've heard a lot about casaos from a youtuber that I like to watch, but I never realized that it was more of a nas os than just a platform to run applications. I'll give it a shot! thanks for the recommendation.
this seems to have worked, but whenever I go in in filebrowser everything is read only. any way to change this?
connect is never mentioned enough in threads like these
haven't seen any comments mentioning connect yet, so that would be my recommendation. by far the most fully featured and smooth lemmy app imo and its my favorite. I've used most other apps but I always come back to connect because of all the different ways I can customize it and all the settings I can change that I simply don't see in a lot of other apps.
Yeah!
