100% - I started writing a second paragraph about John Deere's fuckery, but deleted it. You are spot on.

Manufacturers try really hard to stop their proprietary software from getting out into the world, because when it does this is exactly what happens.

Case in point: I have a $35 phone app that lets me change software configurations on my BMW, and it is great. Can't change anything related to engine, aftertreatment, or safety though...which is a good thing.

Propane is way less energy dense per volume than diesel, so it isn't feasible for long-haul trucking. CNG/LNG is more energy dense than propane, but still nowhere near that of diesel fuel, which is why you see it in busses and garbage trucks. I know a few massive fleets (UPS comes to mind) that use CNG for some of their local routes, but that is probably more for the "green" optics than anything else.

That's exactly what it is. I just had this happen where two US highways merge, and it told me to "keep straight on HWY 20" at that location. You'll also often see this where two interstates merge for a while in and around cities.

That doesn't seem right - there are a bunch of vehicles that are not hybrid. I just looked up the 2025 Tahoe and see no indication that the base 6.2l V8 is a hybrid...

I think the correct answer is "the only remaining gasoline-powered CAR is the Corvette, based on a quick look at their website. I'm guessing this was written by AI from a collection of press releases, but it is possible that it was also written by a human who made a simple mistake in grammer.

240V lines have two legs running through the breaker. So unfortunately it isn't just as easy as swapping at both ends, you have to pull another wire for the 2nd leg.

Edit: I was curious and looked it up - it is two hot without a neutral, so the OP comment is actually correct! TIL

I rode a few Zeros at a promotional event and really enjoyed them. I had an Africa Twin, and was mostly going on longer rides out in the sticks, to which I agree with other posters suggesting the range isn't great. However, I'd love one for a commuter to get to and from work, as well as for a quick spin whenever I got the itch.

But the $12k+ starting price just isn't where it is at for the moment, considering less than half that can get you a 70+ mpg commuter bike.

Hoping when I get back into motorbikes when the kids grow up, there will be a plethora of cheap, fun commuter/city EVs.

It's just down the hall, around a slight bend to the left. Not sure why there are lines painted in the halls of this building...hope I get there first!

And apparently has cameras and sensors that detect if you cover up the 2nd screen. Truly dystopian, but also they weren't exactly hiding these features if people bought the TVs...
