The majority of voters who cast a valid ballot voted for him, what do you even do with those people? You get rid of their leader, another take their place. The military took an oath to the constitution, that included recognizing the results of elections, regardless of if they are a fascist. The US isn't a Defensive Democracy like modern day Germany, we aren't getting rid of them until the next election, that is, if there ever is a next election.

The federal government isn't omnipotent, they'd have to send federal agent to physically stop the state from enforcing their own laws. With all the mass deportation trumps planning, I doubt they have enough manpower.
