A "Showerthought" is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you're doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. A showerthought should offer a unique perspective on an ordinary part of life.

Everyone is interpreting this as Big Bang stuff, but like bread and cell phone cases and windows are all super hot (super being relative) when made

That’s what I figured OP meant too. Many things require heat to render into everyday products. Except maybe textiles. And ice cubes.

Reading this after hugging my wife made me wonder if the encounter that made her was super hot or not. Honestly I don't feel comfortable enough to ask.

10% of you has never been fused since the beginning of the universe... but it was hot way back then, and likely in the outer shell of a star or few. image from wikipedia of human elemental composition showing 10% hydrogen https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Composition_of_the_human_body

Yeah I know kelvin are not degrees, but I thought it would go unnoticed, or at least be as vague as OP; should have stated under standard pression condition too

[–] cmgvd3lw@discuss.tchncs.de 5 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Does that mean, once I was hot?

[–] hanke@feddit.nu 1 points 8 months ago

Only if you've ever touched your self.

[–] Etterra@lemmy.world 4 points 8 months ago

Well I mean, yeah; most heavier matter was formed during suppernovas.
