Well it’s a good thing I spend all day in SQL server management studio.

If you find an injured owl:
Note your exact location so the owl can be released back where it came from. Contact a licensed wildlife rehabilitation specialist to get correct advice and immediate assistance.
Minimize stress for the owl. If you can catch it, toss a towel or sweater over it and get it in a cardboard box or pet carrier. It should have room to be comfortable but not so much it can panic and injure itself. If you can’t catch it, keep people and animals away until help can come.
Do not give food or water! If you feed them the wrong thing or give them water improperly, you can accidentally kill them. It can also cause problems if they require anesthesia once help arrives, complicating procedures and costing valuable time.
If it is a baby owl, and it looks safe and uninjured, leave it be. Time on the ground is part of their growing up. They can fly to some extent and climb trees. If animals or people are nearby, put it up on a branch so it’s safe. If it’s injured, follow the above advice.

I think I'm too high to understand what databases or texting have to do with football.
Now you've got me thinking, I suppose I'm a seasonal small mammal specialist...
I better start growing these nails out!
Oddly enough, this makes me wanna trim it. The effect of having 4 cats.
Just wait until you see my upcoming post about coping (beak trimming) then!
Also, if an owl is in a position to unwelcomely scratch you or your furnishings, something has already gone amiss.
unwelcomely scratch you or your furnishings
You just made have a mental image of an owl but with 4 legs stretching like a cat.
Same. First thought. "Where are the clippers?"
You can't mess with a raptor's feet! That's like, their whole thing! Without proper grabby feet, they're just birds.
Oh thank goodness. Those were gonna be some tough-@%$ cats' claws to trim!
The cat bites from nail trimmings probably hurt more, but I don't really want an owl scratch. I'm sure it will be a rite of passage at some point for me, but having been cat scratched, talons look way bigger, even on a Screech.
I'm surprised with the difference between the small mammal and the seasonal small mammal. It is like that seasonal adaptability turned made them more generalists than the generalists.
I just found the whole paper, so I will try to get the opportunity to read it today and see if I can understand any further info. It's only about 8 pages, and there are more charts, graphs, and tables, so maybe we can get some more insight there.
If anyone beats me to it, don't be afraid to weigh in.
