PayPal and Palantir cofounder Peter Thiel is embarking on an unusual intellectual journey this fall—delivering a sold-out four-part lecture series on the biblical figure of the Antichrist. The private lectures, which will be held at the Commonwealth Club in San Francisco, represent the latest evolution in Thiel’s increasingly public theological interests that intertwine his Christian faith with his concerns about technology’s potential to enable authoritarian control.

This is so fucking weird.

People like this shouldn't be allowed to lead or make decisions that have long lasting effects for millions upon millions of people, or anyone for that matter.

People like him should be locked in psychiatric institutions. They should be studied for their mental disorders, and helped if possible.

It must be comforting to live in a simple fantasy world of evil demons you fight against like a character in a video game.

The thing about these nutjobs is not that they believe in biblical myths and legends

It's that they want to use religious and cult beliefs for their own ends and usher in a violent social change so that they can reshape the future for their own benefit.

They don't mind encouraging people to believe in an AntiChrist or a biblical apocalypse because that's what they want ... people to go crazy, start a war, kill one another and end civilization as we know it. Then the billionaire class believe that they will be the ones to survive the fallout and gain the world for themselves and live like god-kings in the post apocalypse

Putting aside the evil of Peter Thiel, which I'm sure everyone else will elaborate on fully, if you've ever heard this guy speak, listening to a whole ass lecture by him would be hellish.
