I never saw this growing up and it makes sense. Too expensive and too useless for the few games it would make sense for. $99 was like $220 back then.

I'm going to assume that this was a totally useless gimmick like most of the junk like this I saw advertised back in the day, but I'd love to hear if anyone ever used one

Yeah, looks like it.

The advert clearly hopes to give the impression the seat will move you around (like a simulator) but what it actually says is that you move the seat yourself and the seat acts as a controller.

Pretty clear you'd try it fot 10 mins like "okay kinda neat I guess" then never use it because controlling the game by throwing your body weight around is so much harder and less precise than just using a controller.
