I knew there was a lot of mushrooms in the woods, but I did not expect to fill the basket! Found one spot in particular that filled 1/3 of the basket, it never ended.

Amazed you're getting chants midsummer. Where on the globe are you?

This is in southern Sweden.

Chanterelles have been exceptionally early this year from what I’ve seen from other folks in the PNW. I like to watch Mushroom Trail on yt and he was pulling them mid-June, I think he is in Washington. All of the forums are full of people picking chants, lobsters and hedgehogs for a few weeks now. I myself have noticed a lot of things we don’t see until at least the beginning of September (in my area), Gomphidius, Hericium, Helvella, Hedgehogs, etc.

Crazy. I live in Seattle. Normally we snag in September... I will see if I can find them in my spots when I get home from Mexico in a month.

They were popping up on the peninsula in June but I didn't see any on this side of the sound and now it's been a while since we've had any rain so not much is growing period.

Here we've had quite a rainy summer so far, so there's been reports of them appearing in large amounts already, which is why I went out looking for them.

Holy cow. I know of like one location where they grow but you'd have to be lucky to get a handful.
