If democrats are successful and get consistently elected, then that means they have to actually do something and run on a platform beyond “I’m not Republican” to not get primaried.

Establishment Dems hate success and progress. Progressives are doing good.

Only corrupt people who are willing to "play ball" for the rich get into office. Trump is part of the service economy for the rich (the Dempublican kingmakers).

They won't interrupt their bosses when they're having a good time.

Remember how FDR got reelected so many times they amended the constitution after he died to keep presidents to two terms?

Democratic leaders are largely useless, if not outright cowards, cheats, and/or frauds*

There, FTFY.

If FDR were alive today, Richie Torries would make it his life's goal to tip him out of his wheelchair.

It really hurts the money politicians make in political contributions and perks.

My sick elderly family will be stricken to hear this

Am Democrat

Am not terrified

All criticisms of said Democrat I have seen are of his opinion on Israel, which also differ from the example here.

Damnit, I've been saying constructed opposition. I had the phrase wrong!

Political parties don't cater to people who don't vote

[–] SinAdjetivos@lemmy.world 10 points 1 week ago

And in the USA you vote with your ~~wallet~~ offshore bank account. You don't have the right to complain until you've voted with at least 6 figures.

Or people who do, if they dont give money.

Why would individual Dems upset their bosses (the wealthy people who paid Trump cash presents on inauguration day).

The wealthy of each state haven't changed or lost power, they've increased it. Good people don't get into office, only people who "play ball" with them do. Dems aren't going to upset the game for you... You, the crowd have to storm the pitch.
