Ive been playing nightreign for a few days now and its the first game i've played on the steam deck that uses the left joystick button press to sprint, and after using it for a bit i found it to not feel very good compared to the Xbox, PS5, and Switch controllers. All of those controller joysticks have little to no travel when pressing down and it doesnt have bumps during the travel, meanwhile the steam deck joystick has small tactile bumps with the travel before the actual button could be pressed down.
Additionally, trying to press down while tilting the joystick has different levels of tactileness depending on which way the joystick is tilted. Also, when trying to press down on the joystick while tilting it, for example when trying to run forwards, you have to press the joystick down by the bottom portion of the joystick or the tactile click would be very hard to feel, which doesnt feel very great due to the concave shape of the joystick.
It still functions perfectly and you can also bind stuff to the back buttons but i tried a bunch of other steam deck joysticks from friends and they all have a similar feeling to them.
