MODERATORS

Republicans are drunk with power. What a stupid fucking idea. There’s no chance of banning porn. Then they wouldn’t be able to jerk to Trans women and feel shame after.

Trans women are hot, in case that reads as though the shame is correct. It’s not.

I remember when conservatives said they wanted people out of their bedrooms. Well... as a forever alone, what do you think I do in my bedroom every night?

[–] OctaviaMeowzly@lemmy.blahaj.zone 6 points 11 hours ago

If this happened in europe, we would all collectively wank off infront of the government buildings or some shit

So we gonna have people in the corner selling uncensored like in japan?

[–] TronBronson@lemmy.world 13 points 15 hours ago

That was my first thought. This is gonna make the black market porn so valuable. It’s gonna be the greatest illegal trade of all time.

Maybe that's the whole point. That and then letting Hollywood make profit off of sex scenes.

It's all business disguised as well to do ideology.

It is never for the people. If it was for the people we would be building proper community, respect, and teaching the reality of the human experience so that people can be the best they can be.

I totally believe him when he says that. I'm not sure he remembers what he had for breakfast yesterday.

The people around him sure do though

i live in such an atheist bubble. i'm constantly shaking my head at the fact that we haven't woken up to how many problems religion creates. every day that we don't do a massive purge and/or reeducation camp imprisonment of all theists allows this ridiculous charade to keep going.

[–] madjo@feddit.nl 3 points 10 hours ago

I watch atheist content creators on youtube do take downs of theistic arguments.

I have been out of religion for so long that I can't fathom those theists not realizing their idiocy.

And those theists always come with such strawmen "You believe we come from a rock" (no, that's not what atheism entails, but you do believe we come from dirt, so that's actually what you believe), "why do you hate god?" (how can I hate something I don't believe exists?) "You should read the bible" (I did, cover to cover, it made me atheist, you should do it too for a change)

[–] MnemonicBump@lemmy.dbzer0.com 0 points 6 hours ago

I have BIG problems with organized religion. But I fucking draw that line at "reeducation camps". Wtf

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 60 points 21 hours ago (2 children)

The American porn industry is as big as Hollywood. This is a big billions of dollars market. And the US porn industry provides 90% of international porn. So Trump and his GOP wants to kill the one last American industry where the US is world market leader by far.

And I can easily see this industry moving to countries where actors are cheaper and less protected from abuse, diseases, and whatever else happening in this industry.

While this will make some religious fundamentalists in the US feel superior and give them a sense of a perceived moral high ground, it will actually hurt the most vulnerable people in the chain the most. It will not reduce the amount of porn made, it will just make it much, much worse for those involved.

[–] Vinstaal0@feddit.nl 8 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

Probably Europe, eastern Europe is already pretty populair for that market and otherwise countries like The Netherlands where sex is well normal and we don't treat it otherwise.

Problem is onlyfans putting more money in the wallets of the performers and not into the political-industral complex.

Conservatives keep saying they're for the common people.

Are they? Are they really? Seems to me they're really busy doing stuff that regular folks hate.
