Ok but, compiling Linux with a controller challenge anyone?

[–] jaybone@lemmy.world 8 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Doesn’t look like he’s compiling there… that’s a runtime issue.

You're probably right, I don't know what I'm talking about. That's why I'm not gonna do the challenge.

I was waiting for someone to comment on this. I didnt know what to do with that panel.

My dom has some systemctl issues. Clearly there's some history...

Kernel panics are pretty rare though, I've had a lot more bluescreens than kernel panics in my life. If you want to criticise Linux for being complicated go right ahead but implying that it's unstable is a really weird take IMHO.

Didn't think that hard.

"Snap"? Sacrilege!

On linux you pretty much choose how the thing looks. Dislike GNOME on your Ubuntu? Browse different desktop environments and choose from there. Most of these are also highly customizable to fit your needs.

Choosing a desktop environment is more important than the distro

Something I saw on here awhile back is completely relatable.

DE and package manager. That's 99% of distro-hopping.

This kinda sums up my Arma 3 experience

[–] herrcaptain@lemmy.ca 4 points 10 months ago

Hey now, getting 360 noscoped by an Arma 3 bot from 3 KM away after spending 30 minutes slowly crawling up on a base is still less rage-inducing than opening Firefox via snap.
