I don't like fish, but ill eat fish if I'm hungry. I don't like squirrel or cat, but I'll poach and eat anything if there aren't other options. I don't like your uncle, but if I'm starving...

Teach a man to fish, and he'll learn to teach others in exchange for fish, so that he never has to fish in his entire life

Give a man a fire and he has it warm for a day.
Set him on fire and he was it warm for the rest of his life.

This is why I planted some European Apples and Cherries in my yard despite wanting to go fully native. I have to meet the people I'm trying to feed where they are with foods they recognize as foods.

You generously teach a man to fish against his will, and what kind of thanks do you get?

Teach everyone to fish, and they'll deplete the fish stocks and all go hungry

The title got me even more than the comic.
