Why would he not?

Did something happen the first time that would deter him from doing it again?

[–] spongebue@lemmy.world 26 points 2 days ago (1 children)

If he were capable of embarrassment that might do it, but apparently that's not happening here

[–] raltoid@lemmy.world 6 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

Even when narcissists get embarrassed, they just get angry and blame everyone else for causing the issue. Because in their mind they can do no wrong.

Put two journalists in the chat this time. Mix it up. Double the compromise of national security; double the fun.

I mean, it happened before the first one came to light, so not sure what you're saying is relevant here.

This is more just showing how stupid and careless he was.

After the evident insider trading that occurred on 'Liberation Day', I've seen enough to think that everything this government is doing is happening on Signal. Any documentation they're presenting as some sort of 'transparency' is just a prop, and they have another year and a half to get away with it, because Congress is happy to benefit in its complicity.

Hi Pete, it's your Uncle Bob. Could you please add me to the group chat for tariff announcements and trading tips? Thanks!

If i had his number I'd 100% send that text. Imagine him getting it when he's having one of his drinking binges. The dude would hit 'accept' so fast.

Yeah we only know about the chat from the DUI guy. Every body must have their side chat. Bessent for his Wall Street buddies, Sacks to push it to his all in VIP crypto group…. Etc. Seriously 😐

Sad state of affairs, but yep.

And dollars-to-donuts everyone at Signal with enough access is reading them too.

That's not how end-to-end encryption works...

From "Blackadder Goes Forth"

Melchett: Now, I've compiled a list of those with security clearance, have you got it Darling?

Darling: Yes sir.

Melchett: Read it please.

Darling: It's top security sir, I think that's all the Captain needs to know.

Melchett: Nonsense! Let's hear the list in full!

Darling: Very well sir. "List of personnel cleared for mission Gainsborough, as dictated by General C. H. Melchett: You and me, Darling, obviously. Field Marshal Haig, Field Marshal Haig's wife, all Field Marshal Haig's wife's friends, their families, their families' servants, their families' servants' tennis partners, and some chap I bumped into the mess the other day called Bernard."

Melchett: So, it's maximum security, is that clear?

Blackadder: Quite so sir, only myself and the rest of the English speaking world is to know.

Not sure if I am surprised or not.

[–] HellsBelle@sh.itjust.works 34 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (1 children)

I'm not.

The last time I was surprised was when America re-elected ~~this son of a bitch~~ Trump.

[–] Zorque@lemmy.world -1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I don't recall Hegseth being any ballot I've used.

[–] HellsBelle@sh.itjust.works 2 points 2 days ago

I meant Trump. I will edit my comment to reflect that.

You're surprised that you're surprised?
edit: I guess not.
