A federal judge has ruled that there is “probable cause” to hold the Trump administration in contempt over its removal of hundreds of migrants from the United States to a notorious prison in El Salvador despite an order to halt their deportation.

On Wednesday, D.C. U.S. District Court Judge James Boasberg ruled that the Trump administration’s “willful and knowing” actions — and their stonewalling during subsequent hearings — constitute “probable cause for a finding of contempt.”

i've kind of been wondering this whole time, what power does the supreme court have to enforce its orders? if the president is the enforcer of the laws of congress and the judiciary, then who enforces on the enforcer? apologies if this answer is obvious and i'm just not recalling my government studies well

Senator Chris Van Hollen just met with El Salvador's Vice President Félix Ulloa. The VP told Van Hollen that the reason they are holding Kilmar Abrego Garcia at CECOT is because the Trump administration is paying them to do so.

It's funny how the Trump administration has "facilitated" the enforcement of Trump's Executive Order edicts through numerous attempts to withhold funding, but have not got around to even mentioning the funding of Garcia's internment, when it comes to following the court's orders.
