"Despite court order..." is becoming the ubiquitous intro to news about the Trump administration.

i know they wouldn't be getting a conviction, but the dems seriously have to be bringing up impeachment if they want any political future for themselves, and they need to be doing it frequently
Impeachment is a circus act now. I'd rather they spent thier energy actually doing something useful.
Truly curious. Like what?
The thing.
The thing we're all thinking of but can't say because truly free speech doesn't exist.
Sorry, best they can do is wait til the 19th and wave some signs at them.
Maybe take some police and the court order / decision to the event and force your way in. Then, hold the highest ranking host of the event who is NOT Trump, in contempt and throw them in a shitty jail for a week.
Please, just let the Dems die off and become the neoliberal republicans they’ve always aspired to be.
We need a new party that is actually left of center to even begin repairing this level of damage to the republic.
Dems. Ain’t. It. Too old, too corrupt, and F tier political messaging.
so we're clear i don't give a fuck about the dems. i give a fuck about community survival
cool… and your plan is? because if its anything but keep voting for dems until you change the system then i’ve got cheeto shaped news for ya bud: that’s how ya fucking got this mess
He was already impeached twice. So far it hasn’t seemed to to stop him.
That's because impeachment is a political process, not a legal one. Trump is inaccessible to the courts, but they should start holding DoJ and DHS lawyers and officials in contempt and have their marshals detain them.
At the end of the day, trump is just a whiny demented full-grown-toddler giving orders. If his cabinet doesn't have the balls to 25th him, they should at least stop doing what he says.
Wasn't this guy impeached last time he was in office? The American people have spoken and we have chosen a dipshit to run the country because most people who voted for him believed that he would hurt the people who are taking advantage of them.
Don't undersell it. This convicted felon was impeached twice and found liable for rape before we elected him again!
USA! USA! US- Hey! I'm a citizen, you can't deport me!!!
Yup, America officially becomes fascist. The executive simply doesn't respect the judicial branch anymore.
Mark my words, Trump will not let go gently come 2029.
Mark my words, Trump will not let go gently come 2029.
That's the most depressing thing I've read for a long time. Even in the best case scenario we're stuck with this bullshit until twenty twenty fucking nine!!
Nobody in this administration should ever use the word 'constitution' in any context other than when playing D&D.
Like they'd be cool enough
And for the fifth time this month, we stress test democracy!
If there is no push back, I'd say it's broken and we're not testing anymore.
I mean, if they're going to refuse to honor a supreme court decision that instructs them to facilitate the return of a legal immigrant from the foreign prison they sent him to, why the hell would they care about a DC circuit ruling?
Americans are still going "CAN THEY DO THAT???" every day.
When they announce martial law, people are still going to be like "Well, this is not good, I'm going to rethink my vote!"
Naw they'll be too busy at work to bother.
When the announce martial law
Why bother even announcing martial law? Trump's DHS is functionally implementing it as we speak. We are in a state of de facto martial law whether we want to acknowledge it as such or not.
Petty little man. So what good is a court if nothing is ever enforced?
Its not. This is the breakdown of social agreements that have been long standing. Unless something is done to enforce these orders, we've effectively lost the rule of law, and things will get bad fast.
Whether they are appealing or not, this sounds like the administration is breaking the law. The ruling to allow AP doesn't stop taking effect if an appeal is in process.
The Trump Administration keeps abusing that. They appeal something, and just do whatever they want until the appeal is processed.
If the administration can ignore the courts, I guess everyone can now ignore the courts.
Silly Americans are so new at this.
No, you see that's when they announce martial law and roll out the ol' Death Squads (they'll have a patriotic name) to enforce the "new order" on the populace.
Americans gonna be shouting "Wait, this is illegal!"
Yet more evidence that it doesn't actually matter in the eyes of the Trump administration what the law says, or what a judge says, if there is nothing behind it to physically make them follow it or face actual consequences.
A convicted felon is defying court orders and nothing happens. Fuck yeah merica! 🦅🦅🏳️🌈
Why is this shocking to anyone and why isn't anyone doing anything to stop it? Lots of talk. Zero action.
The media and the Democrats, and probably many Americans, still seem to think that if you keep pointing out how things are wrong, illegal, and against the rules, sooner or later a system will kick in to stop them. They haven't yet adjusted to the reality of a fascist government. There is no longer freedom of speech or rule of law in the USA. There are no longer human rights. Your life can be ruined at any moment on the whim of the leader or his enforcers.
Too true, flooffloof.
And America wonders why Canadians are staying home in our safe democratically-run nation.
Poilievre just got a bump in the polls right when he said he would do the exact same thing in Canada, deporting people who speak up for Palestine. It's a really critical moment for Canada, and crucial that everyone vote, and get their friends to vote, to keep this man away from power.
Courts need to look into getting some paramilitary deputies to do their enforcements. Slippery slope, I know, but without enforcement they're just yelling at a bowl of rancid jello
