"Buying storage and compute services from Lidl" is a wild sentence I never thought I'd say haha
Wouldnโt mind it. Imagine going to Lidl and walking out with some groceries and a new server. Amazing.
Wouldnโt mind it. Imagine going to Lidl and walking out with some groceries and a new server and a kayak
Fixed it for you.
Haha yeah that's what I thought, but on the other hand Amazon started as a book store, so why not a grocery discounter. ๐คทโโ๏ธ
Having used some of their, admittedly older, "bespoke warehouse management systems" we're fucking doomed.
Was that before or after their "digitalization" offensive? Apparently the old CEO was fired after like a hundred years of running the company because he opposed anything technology and apparently didn't even own a computer himself, the new one did very sharp turnaround according to the video.
Admittedly it was before, during and just after they threw half a billion euros away trying and failing to introduce SAP.

Yikes, SAP transitions can be absolute shite but turning back around after being half a billion into the slide must've hurt.
Deutsche Wolken Dienste
That abbreviation is already blocked by the German weather service
Interesting, thanks for sharing
Maybe a bit premature for amazon competitor but definitely an alternative
Couple of big companies like banks are already using their services because they're hosted in Germany and Austria and comply with GDPR, I think that's a huge selling point. Question is if they'll go public and make their services available for everyone, not just big businesses.
