As long as they're having fun
humans would never simulate killing for entertainment.
I mean, yeah
Also like how they have a brand called Meowijuana
Meowijuana is purrfect marketing incarnate
What do you do to play with your dog?
I have a squeaky.squeeeeeek
And what about your cat?
Oh, I can't play with him until I pay Big Jimmie $200 for the meth.
My cat brought in a lizard last night but it escaped somewhere into the under stairs before I could rescue it. I guess I have a pet lizard now too.
Unless your house has leaks, you'll probably just discover a dried up lizard when renovating some day
Catnip isnt rly drugs afaik
I'd say it's as much as a drug as drooling when you see a cake. It's not psychoactive per se but rather triggering a hereditary response in their brains. I don't think the molecule ever reaches the brain
I'd say Sarah doesn't know much about cats or is just lazy.
Cats love toys, but it needs to be engaging. They love their pray to feel alive, to move, to hide. A crumpled up piece of paper on a string tied to a stick works wonders. That means the owner needs to participate, but most don't. Also cats are crepuscular so for maximum success keep play limited the evening or morning. You might be surprised how much of a hunter your cat actually is.
I’d say Sarah doesn’t know much about cats or is just lazy.
Or maybe it is just a dumb joke?
Feather on a string on a stick used to keep my cat in the 90s entertained for hours. Also laserpen. This was before we found out laserpens cause cats depression.
What?? Why? I thought cats love laserpens
I've been told it's because they never get the satisfaction of catching the dot.
oh that makes sense.
Because they can never catch it. There's no reward for a successful hunt.
They do. They love them so much that they become obsessed with them. But the laserpen has no physical mass, meaning that the cats can't understand why they can never catch it. So they work even harder to catch it. But they can't. It's just a light beam.
So it's kind of like going hunting, and never getting the kill, despite the fact that you thought you killed it several times.
You might also be surprised at how incompetent they are when they try to hunt down the said piece of paper
My cats go absolutely nuts for their wand toys they will pull the toy out of the drawer and drag it to me to play with them. But they are also very content to play with their miscellaneous small toys like balls, stuffed mice, qnd especially plastic springs. A bag of cat springs is maybe $5 and they go apeshit for them .
