White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed that the Netanyahu government consulted with the Trump administration ahead of the latest Gaza bombardment. Leavitt expressed the White House's total support for Israel's attacks.

While Israel had been carrying out more limited deadly attacks on Gaza despite the cease-fire deal—including strikes over the weekend that killed at least nine—Tuesday's bombings were described as the "heaviest assault on the territory since the cease-fire took effect in January."

These bastards did a ceasefire. Allowed all these people to come back,

without food or water. And then dropped bombs on them. And by "these bastards" I mean the lDF and US governments collectively. This shit makes me sick to my stomach.

Where are the Genocide Joe people now?

[–] evenglow@lemmy.world 11 points 2 weeks ago

Election is over. Propaganda changes accordingly.

Right here. Biden's policies greatly strengthened Israel and directly helped the genocide.

Is Trump worse? I think yes. But that is still no reason to gloat or to think that endlessly supporting the lesser evil is going to produce any real changes that the world needs.

The difference is, Trump will say he supports the attacks as he supplies them with weapons. Biden (or any other Democrat) would condemn the attacks as he supplies them with weapons.

I never used that moniker because monikers themselves are dumb, but I still think Joe Biden is an evil man who actively enabled genocide and in doing so helped drag down the whole Democratic party, leading to our current state. The guy he empowered going back at it doesn't in any way erase that and it's extremely fucked up that that's your first thought on hearing this news.

It’s my first thought because we had two choices, and the people I just mentioned helped us get where we are now. Thanks to them things are going to get much, much worse for way more people.

I thought Kamala was to blame?

[–] gAlienLifeform@lemmy.world 4 points 2 weeks ago

Plenty of blame to go around

[–] Retreaux@lemmy.world 10 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

Thank God Kamala didn't win, it would be even worse! 😑

Yeah, it really fucking sucks she didn’t distance herself more from a government committing literal genocide during the election.

Totally wasted sarcasm.
