MODERATORS

This is some bullshit and should signal to dem voters that dems don't have your backs. Dems are centrists, not Leftists. They server corporate power rather than workers. Push the party Left.

Yeah, Newsom has some bad takes, and he's never been a progressive. Never expect him to vote against the corporate headwind - he won't. However, it's important to note they are allowing exceptions on a case by case basis, and it's not a full work week, so clearly he's trying to allow some room for compromise.

The other interesting part of the article not reflected in the headline is that:

The governor is also directing CalHR to make it easier for former federal employees in certain areas to fill state service vacancies.

I think this is an excellent idea, and I'd love to see my state do all it can to provide employment to Feds displaced by Trump's bullshit.

Nice to see the FED stuff but as far as the case by case basis for remote work that's basically just a line being fed. No one's going to get that approved. I've had these games played with my own remote work and yeah when they mean you need to come in the office 4 days a week they really want you to come in five and you'll be ostracized if you don't. Really sucks because working remotely offers a whole degree of Freedom that apparently the elite do not want us to have.
