Looks like they are dropping the "Alpha" tag also, as it doesn't really apply anymore.

Moving away from the Alpha label

Before presenting you with the new features of this new release, we would like to officially announce that this will be the latest version labeled Alpha. We have already updated the versioning scheme (this version being 0.27.0) and we will progressively stop using the Alpha label altogether up to the next release, which will be Release 28.

It was getting ridiculous, especially with game being at least playable without major problems for like 10 years.

Ooh! Nice! Time to give that game a shot again. It's been a while since I played it. I wonder if they fixed that annoying sound bug...

Never played it as I'm terrible at games like AoE and Anno but I'll give it a shot
