I have been wanting to switch over to Linux full-time after ditching windows. I’m familiar enough with Linux to be able to comfortably use the terminal, regardless to what distribution I’m on.

I have a RTX 2060S. I’m currently running pop!OS. Although I have tried bazzite, Garuda, and nobora. All three of those distributions had the same issue as this one.

1: hitching while scrolling, particularly on webpages.

2: Poor frame timing. No support for G-sync or Freesync. Overall, everything looks to be running at a lower frame rate than it is. Just doesn’t play well with my 185 Hz monitor.

3: audio crackling.

This is both Wayland and X11. I’ve been thinking of switching over to an RX 6800. Will switching my graphics card fix these issues?

For example, when I plug my steam deck into both of my monitors, none of these problems are replicated. My ultimate goal is to switch over to SteamOS after it gets publicly released and I want a computer that can support it.
