I think it's just nice to be able to verify a file with a right click instead of opening the terminal and typing the *sum command. Yes, it is technically bloat, but also good for time saving.

I think it's a really cool addon, and not bloat at all. If we want the general public to ise linux based systems, we need every common functionality to be available without needing to open a terminal.
