Don’t forget your aria labels!

[–] finitebanjo@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

Nah I actually use a css page and have a proprietary font of my own design.

Probably will see some changes in the future, though. I'm not a webdev so it's been kind of bothersome to memorize a bunch of tags and properties that I'm going to forget in a year. I just like doing things myself.

[–] jia_tan@lemmy.blahaj.zone 6 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (2 children)

Looks interesting, definitely has a vibe to it! ~(つˆ0ˆ)つ。☆

ARIA tags don’t change the appearance of the page, they are needed for screen readers so people with low or no vision can navigate your page. https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/Accessibility/ARIA

Screen readers can work without them tho, so you don’t have to do these tags unless you have some complicated form or a custom JavaScript button or something like that.

Also

proprietary

Neato, TIL. Thanks, friend.

That said, the site will mainly be for displaying digital artwork, so those with limited vision likely won't be a very crucial audience. I'll add accessibility anyways, since you were kind enough to walk me through it.

[–] spicehoarder@lemm.ee 2 points 21 hours ago

You'd be surprised. I've seen people who are legally blind enjoy digital art by pressing their screens all the way up against their faces. Or some people can't concentrate on text due to rapid uncontrollable eye movement, but it doesn't stop them from enjoying artwork. ❤️

Avoid the Spanish and French styles, which are often overly sweet and sugary(literally - syrup )

A quote I used in a reply to someone who was spreading misinformation about French rum. French rum is generally additive-free, their GIs and AOCs/PDOs are pretty strict!

It won the 2004 BMI John Lennon Scholarship and has been featured on The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson and the April 6th, 2006 episode of The O.C., a popular teen drama series. The music video for Good Day debuted alongside its single releaseGood Day Music Video and was later shown in the first episode of Tally Hall's Internet Show.

==Composition== The song slowly builds upon a piano riff that extends for 13 measures (three measures of 4/4 and followed by a single beat).

The lyrics are mostly nonsensical. The verses have been interpreted as the song itself attempting to introduce itself as a human would. The bridge parodies serious rock ballads into drivel.

== History == Good Day was one of the first songs written for Tally Hall, and originally appeared on the Party Boobytrap EP, then moved to Complete Demos mostly unchanged. Apart from the orchestration, there were no major changes when updated for Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum.

When remixed and partially re-recorded for Atlantic Records in 2007, quite a couple changes were made, like more vocals on the intro. The "I thought you knew I knew" section was completely re-recorded and more backing vocals were recorded for the "Let us sing" section.

===Live performances=== Good Day was performed on w:Fearless Music with the dialogue segments in the breakdown section changed to "Fearless, we are! Fearless, I say!". Rob's chicken sound, however, remained unchanged.Tally Hall, "Good Day", Live on Fearless Music–via YouTube by ded72385ne (October 20, 2006), event occurs after 2:57. Tally Hall would also change the breakdown for Ann Arbor's 107.1, where they would change it to saying "ann arbor's 107one", random mouth noises, and "Top of the Park"Tally Hall, "Good Day", Live on WQKL (July 6, 2006)–via YouTube by Hiddeninthesand.com (May 16, 2024), event occurs after 2:49.—to advertise their then-upcoming performance at Top of the Park.

==Music video== For the song, Joe Hawley directed a music video that features many Tally Hall videos played on various TVs in eclectic locations. The first verse features every member singing in front of their own colored background, before. which were filmed in dozens of locations over 4 months in 2006. The refrain features First-person home videos from children doing childlike activities are played over the chorus. Drew Morris made the animated segments.Tally Hall (September 15, 2008), "Good Day", Tally Hall's Internet Show–via Vimeo (February 13, 2013), event occurs shortly after 9:06. The videos were burned to DVD to film them being played by various devices (mostly TVs) over September.cn

James Bridle’s Ways of Being presents us with some interesting arguments about acknowledging what he and others call the 'more than human' world. Throughout the book, they present us with arguments and perceptions to counter the anthropocentric and anthropomorphic thinking that has characterized the modern era. In expanding the concept of intelligence to include non-human life and machines, Bridle is attempting to cultivate a different way of perceiving the world. Examine some of these arguments that Bridle makes, looking carefully at the kinds of examples they use to undo our human-centric perceptions of the world. Assess these arguments and weigh in with your response. The last third of the essay can be your own personal assessment of whether such connections between humans, technology, and the non-human world can be reimagined. Do Bridle’s arguments persuade you, or do you disagree? Where and when do your views overlap or diverge? Use examples from your own experience if you wish.

Your essay should be a minimum of 1500 words in length and is due via myCourses on Wednesday, December 11th by 11:59PM.

Those who are working on Projects have the same deadline.

What's the name of that coding game with an H as an icon where we need to escape from prison by coding programs, and then we unlock new programming abilities (for each...) ?
