Planning ahead for an extra round of holiday layoffs?

Less work to do means less employees needed! Think of all the labor waves they're saving!

It will take at least that long to fix 24H2….

[–] bassomitron@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago (2 children)

We're just now doing phased roll outs of 23H2 at work, so haven't paid any attention to 24H2. What issues is it having that you've noticed?

[–] marlowe221@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

Personally, none. But my home machines all run Linux and my work machine is still on 23H2. But I’ve read a few stories about wider-spread-than-normal issues with the update.

Looks like it’s to lower activity for the holidays, which is a good move. Hopefully they don’t need all hands on deck for some kind of urgent issue until after the holidays are over.

You'd expect Microsoft to have figured out how to copy Linux update methods, we have a lot of them to choose from and some are actually decent.
