When people show up, Republicans usually don't do so well.
I'm cautiously optimistic.
Previously yes, though it’s less clear with Trump.
There has been a good chunk of optimistic articles out over the last 48 hours. I'm doing my best to not give them much thought because I don't want to lose twice if Trump wins. My vote is cast which at this point is all I can do. Here's to hoping there's a major upset or all of the swing states go blue tonight and we can all rest easy.
Dammit now I am too. I hate you 🤪
It's the hope that gets you.
Yes. Yes it is. I’m gonna go have a beer and not think about it. Or maybe a Xanax.
I just got a bottle of red from Oregon which will be paired with some homegrown. Hope we both have a chill evening 🤞
I'm going to open a magnum of scotch and either celebrate to wake up in 2028.
I like that plan. Now I have to go get scotch.
As of right now they are showing Trump is winning that state. We had huge numbers turn up for early voting in Oklahoma. To fucking bad that a majority of them were there to vote for nazi fucking trump.
I am getting 2016 vibes all over again. America do we really prefer a fucking dementia, racist, piece of shit as president rather than a woman?
IT SHOULDN'T EVEN BE CLOSE!
It really shouldn’t be.
All I can conclude is that everything that I find absolutely disqualifying about the corrupt amoral lying rapist isn’t a bug for his followers, it’s a feature.
Turnout in my swing state district was high today when I went to the polls.
But we're a pretty liberal district.
Still left me feeling cautiously optimistic.
thats good bro
The only downside to being a permanent absentee voter is that I didn't get one of these.
I actually dropped mine off at the township clerks office just so I could get one of the new stickers.
Sadly, they were out of the werewolf.
Honest to God I think these stickers might be a significant driver for the increased turnout.
Can you imagine if a 12 year old saved democracy with werewolf art?
As a European I'm low key considering looking for one on EBay after the election. It's one for the history books.
IDK, they're talking about dancing going on at some polling locations. That sounds fun.
Some states mail a sticker with the ballot.
(yes, this is legitimately one of the available stickers, and I was super pumped about it)
But Owen...you're Canadian..! :-O
What state/locale is this sticker from? I very much admire this sense of humor. Were the other options as entertaining?
Michigan, and that's where Jordan's werewolf came from too. They're all pretty fantastic. Someone in another thread paired their cat sticker with a Harris Walz cat hat.
Ah, I see now. Thank you for the link. They are indeed wonderful, but I love the simplicity of Owen's. All are heaps nicer than ours which now seem boring.
Originally Canadian, but a dual citizen now. I'm one of those immigrants who came and stole a job.
I wore that with pride today at work.
I think it's earned a place of honor on my work badge.
Ours was cute
Non-american here, what does the werewolf represent? (Or is it just because it's cool?)
Michigan had a contest to design an "I Voted" sticker, the winning design was from a 12 year old.
I so wanted one of these. And I’m in NC.
That sticker makes me wish I lived in Michigan and voted in person.
50/43 Women/men
It's a women's wave
Bad for Republicans
where do you see that?
MSNBC
The shot of the line at temple university was nuts.
Line was 1/2 mile long and Women 3 to 1.
Can’t wait for some people to cite increased voter turnout as evidence of fraud!
Everything is fraud if they don't win. This will be a repeat of the last election with court cases and stupid shit until the next election and so on.
Sadly it's easy: More votes being cast is clear evidence of immigrants being bussed from voting place to voting place to vote multiple times, or of ballot stuffing or of loads of mail-in votes from fake people.
Too many people are arguing from the conclusion (there are millions of fake voters) to what the data should be instead of using the evidence to the best/most accurate conclusion.
I did my part!
Holding my breath, but not too optimistic. If you present Michigan voters a duality choice, it’s an edge to Harris. If you ask them their choice on an open ballot, the Muslim protest vote is pretty firm on either Jill Stein, Harris, or staying home.
Go vote people! Michigan is basically a required win for Harris to become president, but was uncomfortably close in 2020.
I know some Republicans who feel they were presented a choice between Trump or staying home, and they chose the latter.
I did my part!
Jill Stein’s rubbing her hands in anticipation
I'd be surprised to learn that Jill Stein ever rubbed anything in her life.
