So, from what I understand, once the VPN is up and running the key is to slave qbittorrent to the VPN through the built in feature in the torrent client.

But assuming that is all set up, that's really all you need to protect yourself from the dmca and potential ISP shutdown?

And from what I understand protonvpn is a pretty solid VPN service to use for P2P downloading.
