I've never been a big big gamer, but when I was a teen I used to play a lot more and enjoyed a lot different games: Football Manager, strategy (Age of Empires), then lots of shooters (Doom, Heretic, Hexen, first Cod series - yes, I'm old! ๐), and various others.
However, I slowly moved away from gaming as my life got busier: moved abroad, lots of travel for work, leisure, got married etc
So I became over time more of an occasional player, and some times it can be weeks or even months between playing sessions, mostly on GeForce Now.
Whenever I had the chance to play I found myself drawn to only certain type of games: FPS (mostly Call of Duty and Medal of Honour) but especially stealth games Assassin's Creed saga, Hitman, Sniper Elite saga (which I adore playing)
I'm now reading a lot about the Steam Deck here on Reddit and I'm feeling a little bit of fire inside that's telling me to just get a treat for my 40 years birthday and get one.
What do you guys think?
